Mud Caves

Day Trip to mud caves. We will meet at a Mexican restaurant and small market off the 76 near the base of Palomar Mt. where we can convoy to the Bravo meetup location. The bravo location is the actual path to the Mud Caves where we turn off the main road. The caves are pitch black at some points, bring a flash light! We’ll meet at the convoy meetup at 9AM. Travel time to Mud Caves: ~1.5 hours

Timeline

  • 9am-9:30am – Alpha Rally coordinates: 33.28873° N, 116.95769° W (Mexican restaurant)
  • ~11:30am – Bravo Meetup coordinates: 32.91535, -116.24083 (Parking off main road where we will consolidate vehicles, wait for anyone that didn’t meet at Alpha rally)
  • 12pm-4pm – Mud Caves coordinates: 32.92035, -116.18372

We may also venture off to a location called “Fonts Point” it is a beautiful location where you can watch the sunset, it is about an hour from the mud caves.

What to bring:

  • GAS UP BEFORE LEAVING FALLBROOK!!!!
    • there is a gas station on 76 near Pala before the initial meetup

  • Sunscreen
  • Flashlights
4×4 recommended, we will consolidate vehicles at Bravo meetup
